I started reading reviews on trip advisor a month or so ago, bad idea. I was worried about things that never even happened. The hotel is so clean, the staff is wonderful. We had absolutely no problems at all, that was amazing.
There are 3 restaurants aside from the buffet, Japanese, Brazilian Steakhouse and a Steakhouse. The food is all very good, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Hey...Everything went great, so glad we decided to go. Crowds were thin in the airport and resort but I think that actually worked in our favor. Came back with great tans and lots of pictures. I know I've said this already but THANK YOU! We are definitely looking forward to working with you again in the future. Please keep us in mind if you come across any great deals. Thanks again - RIU PALACE CABO SAN LUCAS
We loved the RIU Palace Macao in Punta Cana! They have designated swim/snorkel areas marked off. Boats- even the windsurfers are not allowed in the marked areas. they start yelling at you in spanish if you accidentally get near the swim area.
The whole beach felt very safe. not a lot of waves or shells. Most of the TV stations were in spanish. I read 2 books and a ton of magazines while we were there. We played ping pong everyday and mostly laid around the beach and pool. They had horse shoes, bocci, beach volleyball, and other activities. They also offer free intro lesson to scuba diving. My husband was thinking about doing it, but never did. I did a couple of the aerobics classes. Everything was open air. Not a lot of of air conditioning. Even the fitness room was open air. Hope this helps.
Family Spring Break
We loved the resort! The oceanview junior suite worked out perfectly for our family - we had a king sized bed and the kids slept in the sitting area on the double pullout sofa. We had plenty of room. The in room mini bar was great, too. The pools are super - the view from the infinity pool is amazing. We liked all the shows and the food was wonderful. The hotel is only a short cab ride from town(you could walk the beach instead..). The marina area is lots of fun with shops, bars, and restaurants. We took the pirate ship snorkeling excursion - water was pretty cold in April.. I wouldn't recommend that small children get in the water - currents are very strong. Riu Palace was the perfect choice for us - thanks!
